This painting was inspired from Buddhist Philosophy. The elephant is drinking from three ponds. The elephant represents humans on earth, three ponds represent the three desires of the human spirit. Which is the desires for something to exist, desires for something stop existing, and the satisfaction we have for desires (sensual pleasures).
